On March, we received a generous food donation organized by the OTR International School. The AMA team is very grateful for this thoughtful and supportive gesture from both students and teachers.
Por segundo año, AMA ha tenido el honor de compartir catering con distintas asociaciones para celebrar MusiqCITE, organizado por la Ville de Luxembourg.
Una tarde en la que hemos disfrutado de buena música y en la que hemos podido conversar con gente de diferentes nacionalidades y culturas.

Ha sido un placer participar en la fiesta de bienvenida organizada por la Ville de Luxembourg para recibir a los nuevos residentes.
Hemos aprovechado para dar a conocer el trabajo de nuestra asociación y hemos tenido el honor de preparar el catering gracias a la colaboración de nuestras voluntarias.
Nuestra asociación este año no ha tenido vacaciones de verano y hemos querido hacer algo especial. Gracias a nuestras organizadoras Victoria y Carolina por este fantástico y numeroso picnic en el que nuestros usuarios se lo han pasado muy bien.
Vamos empezando las vacaciones y hemos celebrado San Fermin, cumple de Carolina y Esther compartiendo merienda, sangría y bailando diferentes ritmos musicales.

Nuestra asociación ha participado por primera vez en la Fiesta de l’amitié en Hesperange. Un día en que voluntarios y usuarios hemos pasado una tarde muy divertida y al mismo tiempo hemos recaudado fondos para seguir con nuestras actividades.
Muchas gracias a todas las colaboradoras que nos han regalado comida y bebidas para poder vender.
Un año más el Círculo Antonio Machado ha contado con nosotros para la preparación de la merienda posterior a la entrega de premios del XXIX certamen literario infantil y juvenil Antonio Machado. Un placer compartir con los organizadores y los jóvenes escritores esta experiencia.
We were honoured to be invited by the @FEST 2022 committee to take care of the catering for their festival.
It certainly was a busy weekend, but we were delighted to be able to participate and soak up the wonderful atmosphere at this great English-theatre festival, with its fantastic actors and organisers.
Given the current drastic situation, many of our users with temporary or precarious contracts are at danger of having their contracts terminated or not having them renewed. Their income will suffer greatly and they will be unable to meet their expenses. The registered not-for-profit Associación Manos Abiertas, asbl (A.M.A) is launching an urgent appeal to help the most vulnerable make ends meet. We would like to help them pay part of their rent, utility bills and everyday groceries and we are now appealing to the general public to help us by putting aside the money you might have spent on a coffee, a glass of wine, a cinema ticket, meal out, or even that little getaway you were unable to take, and transfer that amount to AMA’s account.
Also encourage your children and friends to be supportive. Any amount, however small, is a BIG help.
We can’t save lives like health care workers do but we can help ease the burden on the life of someone who has been economically impacted by this situation. And you can rest assured that, despite being isolated in your lockdown, you are helping in a BIG way.
Solidarity is our greatest reward and it’s the only possible way to make our way through the crisis that is affecting all of us in some way or another.
We estimate that 5000 euros would make a HUGE difference to the lives of so many. They need us! Please help. Thank you!
The 36th Migrations Festival was held on 1, 2 and 3 March 2019 – three days in which to meet friends, have some fun, and enjoy good music, dance, crafts and food.
Throughout the entire weekend the AMA stand sold local delicacies from Spain, Chile and Peru, to name but a few.
The festival is a great opportunity to advertise our activities and raise money to fund them
The second Fiesta Española organised by the FAEL was a great success. Congratulations to all those who participated. Many people visited our AMA stand to find out more about what we do. The Ambassador also paid us a visit and Victoria and our users explained our work to him.
The Court of Auditors invited us to participate at its Christmas market. This gave us the opportunity to raise awareness of our work as well as raise money by selling food and crafts.Thank you to everyone who worked at the stand and who visited the stand.
For the second year running, your votes have helped our association win 1000 euros by being one of the 30 associations with the most votes given online.
The jury of the ING Solidarity Awards 2018 jury chose AMA’s project presented for these awards as the best project in the integration category. ING Solidarity Awards 2018.

On 14 September, AMA was one of the 48 Luxembourg associations that participated in the PwC staff Day.
This gave us the opportunity to explain our project to PwC employees, to present our latest achievements and to share our experiences. There was even time to organise a Sevillanas workshop with the help of Victoria Villalba and Laura Supervielle.
It was fun … and useful: We recieved generous donations from the staff!
